Brian has been involved in the building industry for 25 years, beginning his career with B.R Malcolm Ltd in 1982. As a registered quantity surveyor he was an integral part of B.R Malcolm Ltd rise as the most successful building firm in Nelson, before closing its doors when the director retired.
In 1994 Brian joined Ian McCully Builders, bringing an expertise in commercial contracts, both large and small and this has complemented Ian McCully Builders Ltd extensive experience in domestic construction. The challenges in the building industry are always met with a team like approach and attitude to see them completed on schedule with the best quality.
RICHARD COLE
PROJECT MANAGER
Richard has 21 years project management experience, and has spent the past 14 years working for IMB Construction Ltd. Richard is responsible for our Health & Safety Policies, staff recruitment, company development and the training of our apprentices.
Richard mainly handles our commercial and large housing projects. His most recent projects include renovations to the Nelson District Court House, New building at the Cawthron Aquaculture Centre, He has extensive experience in multi million dollar projects with challenging programmes. Richard has an exceptional manner when dealing with designers, consultants and clients.

EQUIPMENT RESOURCES
IMB Construction Ltd employs over 35 full time carpenters and apprentices. We also employ a dedicated full time store manager who deals with equipment maintenance and repairs, and carries out deliveries of plant equipment and materials which adequately caters for all jobs. At present we have 7 Foremen working on a variety of contracts. We also have a broad range of contract labour and subcontractors which can be called upon when required.
